Current Vacancies
The current positions require a speech and language therapist to work on an ad hoc basis in clinical and domiciliary settings. The speech therapy posts available include:
Paediatric Speech and Language Therapists
We are currently looking for a number of paediatric Speech and Language Therapists to join our expanding team of therapists. We are ideally looking for someone with paediatric experience in any of the following areas:
- Neurological disorders
- Swallowing difficulties
- Voice
- Cleft lip and palate
- Stammering
- Speech disorders
- Physical disabilities
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience of working as a Speech and Language Therapist for a minimum of 3 years
- Experience working within paediatrics for a minimum of 2 years
- Full membership of the RCSLT and HCPC
- A caring and enthusiastic approach to work
- A confident attitude
The successful candidate will be employed as an associate working adhoc hours. This is a perfect opportunity for someone who is looking for some part time work which is flexible around their work/personal life.

Adult Speech and Language Therapists
We are currently looking for adult speech and language therapists. Ideally we would like therapists with experience in any of the following areas:
- Learning difficulties
- Autistic spectrum disorder
- Hearing impairments
- Speech difficulties
- Physical disabilities
The ideal candidate to become part of the team at Manchester SLT includes:
- Experience of working as a speech and language therapist for a minimum of 4 years

Observational Placements
Manchester SLT are occasionally able to offer students with an interest in speech and language therapy a chance to observe our speech and language therapists in action. Unfortunately as we receive many requests for work experience and we are unable to accommodate everyone. Therefore, we are only able to offer observation placements to current speech and language therapy students.
Due to the highly specialised nature of our work student placements are all observational only. We are, therefore, unable to offer elective placements.
